El Kabayo Falls

For the second time, he was standing before the highly influential people of his time. There were doubts among their faces when they heard his testimony. One wrong word from him and they wouldn't spare to excommunicate him.

It was a time of fear in Jerusalem. The Jews have agreed to exclude anyone who would confess that Jesus is Christ. They brought terror to those who wanted to believe in Jesus that no one could speak openly of Him. And there he was facing the Pharisees’ overcritical eyes. Without a second thought, he told them how the man Jesus opened his eyes with clay.

Who would believe him? He was just a blind man who spent his whole life begging in the streets. But when Jesus told him to wash his eyes in the pool of Siloam after anointing them with clay, he was ready to do it. His obedience delivered him from the darkness that disabled him. He had never seen the light until Jesus touched his eyes.

“I was blind. Now, I see.”

This change in his life was extraordinary that he could not hold it in upon himself. While his parents and the others were afraid to take a stand for Jesus, he did not cower down in fear to share about the miracle of Christ. He must proclaim to the neighbors that he was the blind man who received sight from Jesus. This truth illuminated so great in him that he could not waste an opportunity to tell about what Jesus did to him. Though no one believed him, he was ready.

He was that dirty man on the sidewalk. But because of Jesus, he was ready to stand in front of anyone and testify for Him.

He was a man with no name. No riches. Nothing. But because of Jesus, he was not intimidated by the Pharisees. He was ready to answer their questions with a deeper understanding of God.

He was once a helpless man living without pondering on his future. But because of Jesus, he was ready to hope in His life-changing power.

“Lord, I believe.”

The Pharisees could not accept the persuasion of this man to claim the healing miracle of Jesus. His boldness to expose the truth infuriated them. For this reason, they reviled him and drove him out of the synagogue. He was humiliated. Yet, he did not lose his revival.

He was ready to respond outright when Jesus asked him to believe in Him as the Son of God. He did not blame the Lord for his suffering. Instead, he worshipped Jesus.

Truly, the Son of God will reveal Himself to those who seek Him and are ready to believe in Him.

Are we ready to speak for Jesus?
